Silver Springs Vineyards

Silver Springs Vineyards is in Riceville in McMinn County, Tennessee which is just a 45-minute drive from Monroe County. It not only has a vineyard but a tasting room and event center on the premises. There is also a Greek Café where you can try some amazing food while you are there. The wines are made using grapes from several areas of the country and Silver Springs will be developing their own Estate Wines this year. The current wine offerings are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Rose, and Riesling. There are also red blends and each summer they bring back customer favorites, Strawberry Wine and Chocolate Strawberry Wine. 

Tennessee Valley Winery

Located in Loudon, Tennessee, which is 34 minutes from Monroe County, is the Tennessee Valley Winery. As one of the oldest operating family-owned wineries in the state of Tennessee, they offer free tastings and pairing recommendations. The winery also offers over twenty different types of wine that include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and other traditional varieties. They produce several wines from French hybrids and Native American grapes as well as fruit wines throughout the year that include blackberry, strawberry, peach, and cherry. 

Blue Goose Vineyards

Blue Goose Vineyards is located in Maryville, Tennessee, only a 42-minute drive from Monroe County. They offer a tasting room in a classic barn-shaped building for a unique feel at this winery. They make traditional Appalachian muscadine wines that include white, red, blush, and fruit wines. On-site, they also have a gift shop that carries wine accessories and hand-crafted items from local and regional artists. 

Tsali Notch Vineyard

Tsali Notch is in Monroe County. The vineyard specializes in muscadine grapes with over 6,000 vines on 21 miles of trellis that cover 35 acres. They allow individuals and families to pick their own muscadines in September and October to make their own juice, jelly, or wine. They host many special events on the premises. They grow 6 different muscadine grapes and are known for wines like The Notch (dry white wine like Chardonnay), Chatsworth (dry red wine like Merlot or Shiraz), Hiwassee (dry white wine like a Riesling), French Broad (rose wine similar to a white Zinfandel), Dragging Canoe (semi-sweet red wine like a traditional red muscadine wine), and Sweetwater (semi-sweet white wine similar to muscadine wine). 

Savannah Oaks Winery

Savannah Oaks Winery is in Delano, Tennessee, a 43-minute drive from Monroe County, Tennessee. In addition to free daily wine tastings, they also offer event space and will cater for events as well. Not only can you purchase their wine at Savannah Oaks, but also Amish-made butter, cheese, or meats.
